Stock Control Operator - West Calder

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Stock Control/General Duties Warehouse to join our Planning & Customer Service department in 2022. This will be a permanent, full-time role based at our Muirhall warehouse. Reporting to the Planning & Customer Service Manager, the role will involve assisting the Company by efficiently and effectively supporting the increased control over all warehouse stock, to meet all relevant business needs. In addition, this role is fully trained in all warehousing duties to provide additional support where required by operations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrable supply chain experience
  • Solid working knowledge of MRP systems
  • Intermediate PC Skills - Formula and graphs in excel, import photographs in PowerPoint, high standard of document production and report writing
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to input and interpret complex data using IT systems
  • Working knowledge of relevant HSE legislation


Main Responsibilities:


1. Performing physical counts of items in inventory using the DRAMS system.

2. Ensuring that all items counted are in their correct location and stored in a manner that allows the items to be identified and counted correctly.

3. Filling out daily activity reports and maintaining all required records related to cycle counting.

4. Performing recounts to locate any missing stock – reconcile physical and system stocks.

5. Checking items during the normal cycle counting activities for physical deterioration, notifying supervisors of deteriorated items i.e. leaking casks, missing hoops etc.

6. Handling all paperwork and computer-related tasks to ensure that the inventory data is accurate.

7. Performing all duties as set out in the ‘Warehouse Operator’ job description, as and when required by operations.

8. Any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your contractual role.
