The information we will collect and what we do with it
We collect information when you register with us and complete an online profile. Such information may include your name, address, email address, telephone number and previous employment history. We will use this information you have provided to fulfil our legitimate business interest in considering whether you may be appropriate for any particular employment opportunity which arises during the period in which you are registered with us and provide you with information of any such potential opportunities.
You are under no obligation to provide any information to us but if you do not then we will not be able to fully evaluate all the merits of your application alongside those candidates that do.
The personal data you submit will be transferred to:
- our internal recruitment coordinators, who will evaluate the applications sent in, after they are processed by our applicant tracking system, to match the strongest applications to the correct vacancy. For any queries regarding this, you can contact them at jobs@northbritish.co.uk; and,
- our third party recruitment software company, Firefish Software, who host our Careers webpage. For full details on their privacy policy, including the way they handle the data provided to them, visit their terms of use at: https://www.firefishsoftware.com/terms-of-use.aspx
How long we keep your personal data
Those who apply and register with our Careers page are expressing a desire to work with The North British Distillery. By retaining the CVs and job preferences of applicants and registrants, our recruitment coordinators can use the applicant tracking system offered through our partnership with Firefish Software to compare and match the most suited potential candidates we have on file with any upcoming vacancies. In addition, we can contact those registered with us through email job alerts to keep them informed of any available job openings that may be of interest to them. Those registered with us can amend their personal information at any time via their personal candidate profile. We will store this data for as long as candidates desire to remain registered with our Careers page. An annual email alert will be sent to all registrants, reminding them of these conditions and giving them the option to terminate their registration. In addition, those who no longer wish to have their data stored for consideration may opt out at any time through their candidate portal. Having unsubscribed, all data we hold for you will be erased from our applicant tracking system and you will no longer be considered for vacancies or receive job alerts from The North British Distillery.
